A Letter From John Valenti

First off, I like to give a special thanks to Ms. Joan O'Meara, the president of this fan club for her gracious and endless time, effort, and resourcefulness in putting this website together for you, my dear fans worldwide, to view and hopefully enjoy visiting time after time. Joan is a talent in her own right, (Actually she's a riot but more on that later) and I can't thank her enough.

When I first started making recordings with Motown Records and then Ariola America, I was under the impression that my albums were mostly played and sold here in the US, but over time I came to realize my music was popular everywhere. Countries like Italy, France, England, Germany, even Belgium and Australia were hip to me.
Not until my last album, "I Won't Change" which was only released in Japan (thank you RCA/BMG) did I come to realize I had such a huge number of Japanese fans. These fans seemed intent on finding everything they could about my music career and background. Their interest was so intense that a record company in Japan called P-Vine picked up on this and made arrangements to re-release my album "Anything You Want" in Japan on CD.

Now I see my image and all my recordings being offered everywhere on the internet and a whole new generation is being turned on to my music again. I couldn't be more grateful and thrilled about it. I only hope now record companies like Sony/BMG or Columbia will take notice of this fact and offer me an opportunity to record for you all again. I have a lot of new songs to sing and I intend to share this music with my fans one way or another. This website will keep you informed of my progress.
Please feel free to contact me anytime and my love and thanks goes out to my family, friends, and to all my loyal fans over the years for your continuous support, love, and inspiration!

Hope to hear from you,
Love,
John
